Day 1: Day Outing in Oudtshoorn
Drive to Oudtshoorn, the kingdom of the ostriches which is surrounded by an area known as the Little Karoo. This area abounds with flowers, colored rock formations and one of the most diverse scenery. In Oudtshoorn the first stop is the famous Cango Caves – a vast sequence of chambers, every nook and cranny filled with stalactites, stalagmites and helictites create one of the greatest treasure troves of nature. A maze of passages and halls has been opened up to enable visitors to penetrate 3 km deep into the lime heart of the mountain. A guide takes you on a guided tour of the caves.
Thereafter you will visit the Safari Ostrich Farm. During a guided tour you can learn more about the biggest bird in the world. After the tour an ostrich barbecue lunch will be served.
Your next stop will be at the Cango Wildlife Ranch, an endangered species breeding facility extraordinaire. The oldest and biggest cheetah contact centre worldwide offers visitors the rare opportunity of interacting with our hand reared cheetahs and getting actively involved in saving this species and others from extinction. Here you will get the chance to learn about crocodiles, tigers, Snakes and many more.
Day 2: Featherbed Nature Reserve & Leisure in Knysna
In Knysna you will take a Ferry cruise to the Featherbed Nature Reserve followed by a drive to the top of the Western Head in a 4 x 4 unimog vehicle with trailers, stopping at a magnificent view point en route. After the drive, your specialist guide will take you on an optional 2.2 kilometers downhill walk.
Before returning to Knysna a buffet lunch will be served.
The rest of the day is spent at leisure to explore this quaint city.
The town’s picturesque streets and old buildings reflect a colourful history of sea-farers, woodcutters, timber merchants, aristocrats and gold-diggers. Knysna is synonymous with fine indigenous timbers and craftsmen, who are renowned world-wide for their furniture and timber products.
Day 3: Knysna Elephant Park & Tsitsikamma Costal National Park
Get up-close-and-personal with nature at Knysna Elephant Park. With the help of our resident African elephants and our well-informed guides- you will learn about the sad and mystical story of the Knysna Elephants - the world's Southern most elephants. The park offers a rare and exciting opportunity to
get close to these gentle giants, who live in a controlled, free range environment in the heart of the famous Garden Route. Knysna and its surrounds is an area rich in natural beauty and history, with the 'World's most southerly elephants', (Big feet), forming an integral part of this fascinating history.

A visit to the Tsitsikamma (meaning "place of much water" in the Khoisan language) National Park which includes a 2 hours walk will take place. The Park is situated in the heart of the Garden Route, and stretches over 80km of rocky coastline, this remote mountainous region with secluded valleys, is covered with Fynbos and include temperate high forests with deep river gorges leading down to the sea.
