Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to hotel in Delhi.

Day 2: Paro
Return to Delhi Airport for the flight to Paro, Bhutan. Departure time from the hotel is dependent on the flight time, and it may be an early start. On arrival into Paro, transfer to hotel in Paro for 1 night’s accommodation. There will be time for a stroll around Paro before dinner.

Day 3: Thimpu
Sightseeing on foot of the town of Paro followed by a drive into the surrounding countryside. We visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries in the Kingdom plus the National Museum, located in an old watch tower. Also visit Drukgyel Dzong and Ta Dzong fortress. In the late afternoon we continue to Thimpu for 2 nights’s accommodation

Day 4: Thimpu
Today we spend a full day exploring Thimpu on foot, where our visits include the Traditional Medicine Institute, the Tashichodzong, the seat of the Royal Government, the Painting School and the Memorial Chorten, which was built in the memory of the third king of Bhutan.

Day 5: Phuntsholing
Our drive to Phuntsholing today takes us through a beautiful landscape scattered with monasteries, fortresses and dramatic vistas. We may also have time for a short walk en route. We stay in Phuntsholing for 1 night’s accommodation and have time to explore the town and the local bazaar.

Day 6: Darjeeling
Today is primarily a travel day as we cross back into India to Darjeeling for 4 night’s accommodation. After dinner, there will be time for an evening walk around the Darjeeling bazaar.

Day 7: Darjeeling
We have an early start this morning as we drive to Tiger Hill to watch the sunrise over the Himalayan mountains. We walk back to Darjeeling via Aloobari Monastery (approx. 8kms).

Day 8: Darjeeling
Taking the Toy train, we travel to Ghoom Monastery, which belongs to the Yellow Sect of Buddhists. We walk back to hotel through Ghandi Road (approx. 5km.) This afternoon visit the Tibetan Refugee Self-help centre and Himalaya Mountaineering Institute. Note: the Toy Train journey is subject to operation of the train. If the train is unable to operate, the journey will be made by coach.

Day 9: Darjeeling
Full day walking excursion to Ging Tea Estate via Bhutia Busty, local villages and monastery (approx. 6km.)

Day 10: Gangtok
We depart today for Gangtok, Sikkim for 3 night’s accommodation. Our journey will take approximately 5 hours, and we will make stops for refreshments and to stretch our legs. On arrival, there will be time to relax before dinner.

Day 11: Gangtok
Morning excursion to Rumtek monastery, including the Dharm Chakra Centre, Institute of Tibetology. Afternoon- . Visit Enchay Monastery, Cottage Industry Centre and Lal market

Day 12: Gangtok
We drive to Tashiview Point, where we can see breathtaking views of Mount Khangchendzonga and Mount Siniochu. From here we spend a full day walking to Panthang Forest seeing local villages en route. We finish back in Gangtok in time for dinner (approx. 7-8km)

Day 13: Kalimpong
Leaving Sikkim, we travel back into India to Kalimpong for 2 night’s accomodation. Afternoon sightseeing on foot of Durpin Dhara, Tharpa Choling Monastery, Zong Dog Palri Fo-Bang Monastery, nursery and market.

Day 14: Kalimpong
During our full day walk today, we visit a local village where we spend time with the villagers to see how they live, and learn about their culture and traditions (approx. 5kms)

Day 15: Delhi
Taking a flight from Bagdogra airport, we fly to Delhi.
Upon arrival – Transfer to hotel
Overnight and dinner at hotel.

Day 16: Delhi
Day free in Delhi.
( Hotel check out 1200hrs)
Two rooms for wash and change till departure
Dinner in the hotel
Late at night – transfer to airport

Day 17: Departure
Depart on your onward journey.
