derives its name from the Sanskrit words, ayush (life) and veda

Morning: Departure by coach to Kairali.
Enroute sightseeing tour of Cochin. - The Chinese Nets - The
century old Chinese tradition of fishing that still survives in
Kerala. The Old Town - Synagogue and Jew's town - The abode of Jews
for many centuries where the unique life style of one of the world's
old community still lingers. The St. Francis Church - The oldest
church in Indian sub-continent, established by the Portuguese
Franciscan frairs in 1503. Vasco de Gama was buried in the courtyard
of this church. The Machancherry Palace, Santa Cruz Cathedral, after
sightseeing tour proceed ahead to Kairali.
