Day 01 |
ARRIVE
DELHI
Arrive Delhi. Transfer to Hotel.
Afternoon: Sightseeing of Old and New Delhi
Old
Delhi: Old Delhi comprises the splendour of its historical glory that
existed even before British made it the Capital of India again in 1911. The
famous city of Sahajanabad with its glorious Jama Masjid and the Red Fort are
the unique footprints of mighty Mughals. The crowded colourful, narrow lively
streets of Old Delhi around Chandni Chowk are still the remnant of its bygone
era. Besides these ancient monuments the tour of old Delhi the visitors also
visit the cremation place (Rajghat) of our father of the nation, Mahatma
Gandhi.
New
Delhi: New Delhi today is the modern hub of metropolitan civilisation
enjoying the life in and around buildings planned by British while shifting
the Capital of India to Delhi in early 20th Century. The city tour mainly
comprises of driving past the government buildings i.e. Parliament House,
President House, Ministerial Buildings, and a drive past through India Gate
(War Memorial) and Embassy Area. The tour also includes visit to the ancient
monuments like Qutab Minar and the Lakshmi Narayan Temple.

Day 02 | DELHI
- AGRA
Morning: Departure for Agra by Car/Coach (approx 4 hours)
Afternoon: Visit Taj Mahal & Agra Fort.
Taj Mahal: One of the seven wonders of the modern world, built by
Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal, this
beautiful mausoleum in pure white marble is an architectural marvel.
Agra
Fort: Built by Emperor Akbar with buildings added by his successors, the
maze of courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort echo the story
of the Mughal Empire. Moti Masjid and Jasmine Tower reflect the skills of
the ancient Indian architects and artists.

Day 03 | AGRA/FATEHPUR
SIKRI/JAIPUR
Morning: Departure for Jaipur by Car/Coach (Approx. 5 Hrs)
Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri: A red sand stone city, built by Akbar the great, to
honour the great Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chisti, whose blessings begot Akbar
with the birth of a son. Unsurpassed red sandstone constructions scattered
all along the deserted city do tell us uninterruptedly about the bygone
glamorous capital city of Mughals.
Arrive Jaipur at Lunch.
Jaipur:
The rose pink capital of Rajasthan is surrounded on all sides by rugged
hills, crowned with forts. Enclosed by battle scarred walls, the city was
built early in the eighteenth century. The Maharaja's palace stands in the
centre of the city, amidst lovely gardens. Houses with latticed windows line
the streets, their rose pink colour lending enchantment to the scene that is
almost magical at sunset. Jaipur is aptly called the "Pink City of
India". It takes its name from the famous Maharana Sawai Jai Singh, who
founded the city in 1728.
A keen astronomer, he built an observatory, which still exists and is
equipped with quaint mascony instruments of remarkable size. Jaipur is noted
for its craftsmen skilled in the art of cutting precious stones and is famed
for its garnets and rubies. It is equally well known for brass inlay work,
lacquer work and the printing of muslin.

Day 04 |

IN JAIPUR
Full Day to visit city and Amer Fort.
Amer
Fort: Visit the magnificent Amer Fort for a tour of this former
stronghold of the Maharajas of Jaipur. Enjoy elephant ride. Visit the
labyrinth of palace buildings, the Diwan-e-Am, Diwan-e-Khas, private
apartments of maharaja etc.
City Tour: Visit Pink city. The city Palace museum, full of old
glorious Rajputana artifice of royalty. The Jantar mantar
(Observatory) - an eighteen century astronomical sight which is as
accurate in calculations today as in past. The Palace of Winds, the
bazaar of Pink City.

Day 05 | JAIPUR/MANDAWA
Morning: Leave Jaipur by road for Mandawa.
Afternoon: City sightseeing of Mandawa. The medieval fort of Mandawa
gradually rises on the horizon like a mirage, visit the havelis like
Chokhani, Saraf, Goenka and Ladia.

Day 06 | MANDAWA/BIKANER
Morning: Leave Mandawa by road for Bikaner (220 kms), a bustling
trade centre in the yesteryears, enroute visiting Fatehpur.
Afternoon: Sightseeing of Bikaner visiting the Junagarh Fort and
Camel Breeding farm (time permitting visit Karni Mata Temple, Deshnoke (30
kms away).

Day 07 | BIKANER/JAISALMER
Morning: Leave Bikaner by road for Jaisalmer (325 kms. approx).
Rest of the day free at leisure

Morning:
Sightseeing of Jaisalmer, visiting the fort, walk along the streets viewing
the famous havelis.
Afternoon: Excursion to the Sand dunes.

Day 09 |

JAISALMER/JODHPUR
Morning: Leave Jaisalmer by road for Jodhpur (325 kms approx).
Jodhpur stands on a range of sandstone hills surrounded by a strong
wall nearly 10kms (6 miles) in length, with seven gates.

Dominating the city is an eminence surmounted by a massive fortress.
In olden days, the fortress must have been well nigh impregnable, for
the rocky base on which it is built is scraped on every side. Within
the walls are royal palaces of old with priceless jewels and a
striking collection of arms. Sightseeing of Jodhpur includes visits to
Fort, Palaces, Armoury and Jaswathada.
Afternoon: Sightseeing of Jodhpur, visiting Mehrangarh Fort and
Jaswant Thada, a royal memorial built in white marble.

Day 10 | JODHPUR/RANAKPUR/UDAIPUR
Morning: Leave Jodhpur by road for Udaipur (260 kms.), enroute
visiting the famous Ranakpur temples (one of the most important and biggest
Jain temple in India). Arrive Udaipur. Transfer to Hotel.
Udaipur:
In Udaipur, the visitor finds his dream of India come true for the city
combines real beauty with associations of a great and glorious past. It
stands in a valley amid green hills, beside the mesmerising blue Lake
Pichola. On a little island in the lake from the water's edge rise marble
palaces of pure white that glisten like fairy castles, Crowning the ridge,
on which the city clusters along the shores of the lake, is Palace of the
Maharana. Within the palace is all the magnificence of the East - peacocks
in mosaic, the walls and floors inlaid with tiles of rare beauty, and roof
gardens affording thrilling views of the panorama below. Sightseeing of
Udaipur includes visits to Sahelion ki Bari, drive around Fateh Sagar Lake,
City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Gulab Niwas Garden.
Evening: Boat-ride on lake Pichola if time permits or free for own
activities.

UDAIPUR
Morning: Sightseeing of Udaipur, visiting the fort thereafter driving
around the lakes.
Afternoon: Transfer to Airport to catch flight for Mumbai.
Arrive Mumbai and catch flight for onward destination. |
