Day 02 | Delhi
Morning- Sightseeing of Old Delhi visiting the imposing Red Fort, the Jama Masjid (Mosque), largest in India; the bustling bazaars of Chandni Chowk and the Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assasination in 1948.
Afternoon- Sightseeing of New Delhi, the presidential buildings and India Gate, the 16th Century tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, and the Qutab Minar, a 12th Century symbol of Muslim victory over the then Hindu kingdom.

Day 03 | Delhi/Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur, situated in the desert state of Rajasthan.
On arrival transfer to the Hotel.

Day 04 | Tour to Jaipur
Morning- Travel to the magnificent Amer Fort for a tour of this former stronghold of the Maharajas of Jaipur. There will be time for an elephant ride.
Afternoon- See more of the 'Pink City', visiting the Jantar Mantar, the observatory of Maharaja Jai Singh; the City Palace and its museums; and the Palace of the Winds, a stunning
sandstone facade from where the ladies of the court watched, unseen, events in the town below.

Day 05 | Jaipur/Fatehpur Sikri &
Agra
Drive to Agra, the city of Taj
Enroute visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th Century and containing the splendid palaces of his queens, intricately carved in red
sandstone.
Continue to Agra and transfer to Hotel.

Day 06 |
 Taj Mahal & Agra Fort
Morning- Visit the Taj Mahal, built in marble and inlaid with semiprecious stones. The mausoleum, which took over twenty years to build, was constructed in memory of the favourite wife of Emperor Shah Jahan. Also see the Spectacular Agra Fort.

Day 07 | Agra/ Khajuraho
Transfer to Railway Station to board the Shatabdi Express Train for Jhansi, then continue by coach to Orchha, one of India's pleasant surprises, en route to Khajuraho.

Day 08 |
 Khajuraho
Morning- Take a tour of the Chandela Temples, built between AD 950 and 1050 and decorated with world famous erotic sculptures.
Afternoon- Free to enjoy the small town of Khajuraho.

Day 09 | Khajuraho/Varanasi
Morning- Free before transfer to the airport for short flight to Varanasi, the 'eternal city' and one of the most important pilgrimage sites in India.
Enjoy a short tour before checking into Hotel.

Day 10 |
 Varanasi & The River Ganges
Make an early start for a boat ride on the River Ganges, where Hindu pilgrims come to take their soul - cleansing dip in the waters at sunrise. There will be a walk through the narrow lanes of Varanasi to the Golden Temple of Vishwanath, and later a visit to the University of Benaras and the Bharat Mata Temple.

Day 11 | Varanasi/Kathmandu
Transfer to the airport for the flight for Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, arriving in the later afternoon.
Nepal lies between India and Tibet and enjoys spectacular scenery including The magnificent Mount Everest.

Day 12 | Kathmandu & Patan
Morning- Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. The tour will take us to the Temple of the Living Goddess, Pagoda Temple and the Hunaman Dkoha.
Afternoon- Continue to the ancient city of Patan to see Durbar Squares and the Ashoka Stupa.

Day 13 |
Mount Everest & the Himalayas.
An optional early morning flight to view Mount Everest, weather permitting.
Afternoon- Visit the old city of Bhadgaon, then continue to the beautiful hill resort of Dhulikel to see the sunset and spectacular views over the snow - capped Himalayas.

Day 14 | Kathmandu/Delhi.
Morning- Free before transfer to the airport for the return flight to Delhi. Here enjoy a late dinner before transferring to the airport.
