Mr. Vinoo Ubhayakar joined the Company in 1960. Mr. Ubhayakar has been associated with the Industry since 1950 and is recognized as one of the doyens of the Travel Industry in India. He has been President of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) for four consecutive terms and has the distinction of being the first Asian and the only Indian to be unanimously elected as the President of the Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA) - the highest world body representing the Travel Industry. He has also been the past President of Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACCAI) and Governor for Area 5 of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). For his life time contribution to the Industry, he was awarded the prestigious ‘AGASTYA’ Award by TAAI in 1985, the ‘HALL OF FAME' Award by the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) in 1997 and the 'LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT' Award by the SKAL Club of Bombay in June 2000.
Dr. Shailendra Mittal is the Chairman of the Trade-Wings Group. He has done his Engineering & MBA from Wharton School and PhD & OPM from Harvard University.
Within a short time of his taking over Trade-Wings in 1985, Dr. Mittal embarked on a planned programme to restructure and strengthen the Organisation and to diversify into products allied to Travel & Tourism.
